Gender budgeting in Ukraine is possible.
For the second year in the field working group, which was created by order of Chairman of regional state administration from 14.12.2015 year no. 472 (as amended from 15.12.2016 year no. 623) for implementation in the region of the project "Gender budgeting in Ukraine", the head of which is the Director of the Department of Finance of the regional state administration P. Lazarus. In 2016 the analysis of the functioning of some public institutions in the Education sector that has produced some results, particularly in the passport of the budget program for 2017 "Training vocational and technical institutions and other educational institutions" approved separate performance indicators with a gender component. The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine partially taken into account the proposals of the working group and amended, containing a gender component, some indicators of the network state and contingent institutions financed from local budgets. In 2017, the working group performs the analysis of the program "Specialized inpatient care to the population" in the health care industry, which investigates the activities of the Transcarpathian regional clinical cardiology dispensary. The results may 24-25, 2017 presented at a joint meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, areas that are involved in the Project, and experts of the project "Gender budgeting in Ukraine". The uniqueness of gender budgeting is that it is not a separate budget and does not require additional expenses, it is a tool that aims to integrate a gender perspective in the budget process. It should be considered as an influential element in the management activities associated with the development of budgets of different levels, which provides important information to professionals who decide on the budget allocation. The aim of the Project is to increase economic efficiency and transparency of budget allocations taking into account the different needs of women and men by implementing gender - oriented budgeting in Ukraine.
