Celebration on the occasion of the journalist Day was held June 2, in Ternopil regional Philharmonic society. Traditionally the holiday is celebrated on 6 June — the day of adoption of the Union of journalists of Ukraine the International Federation of journalists that occurred in 1992. Opening remarks to the participants addressed the Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Stepan Barna. "Thanks to you, the media, the daily work, millions of readers, viewers and listeners can immediately receive objective information. Your professionalism and unbiased coverage of events depends on the formation of public opinion. If we do not modify or mistaken, you are pointing us to do thus everything to ensure that our work has become more sophisticated," said Stepan Barna. According to him, the authorities of the region will always remain open and has been and will be for a true journalist to be a reliable partner. "Every day starts with watching the news, every day I tracked the problem points. See how the people who selects the land, who pollute has become, see inaction or abuse. These facts always require a rapid response. Thank you to everyone who works honestly and conveys to the people the truth. However, the balance must always be around.
