Hosted the Volyn regional journalism conference "Volyn journalism: contemporary Challenges". Journalists discussed issues concerning journalistic solidarity, editorial policy, and the volhynians, jeans and journalistic standards, reform the media, journalism education. According to the results there was signed a Memorandum "For honest journalism!" It said: Realizing the high responsibility before a society, the right of the people to receive truthful information, we, the undersigned, Volyn journalists from television and radioorhanizatsiy, Newspapers, magazines, news agencies and online publications, freelancers, media executives and members of professional creative unions, declare: 1. We are faithful to the objective reality, therefore, the creative activities are trying to be as objective as possible, truthful, correct, responsible for the business. 2. We value our reputation and reputation is not only legal, but moral responsibility for the truthfulness of the message and the validity of the judgments distributed over their own signature, under a pseudonym or anonymously, but with our knowledge and consent. 3. We respect the professional rights of colleagues, value their reputation, and therefore refuse tasks that violate journalists in the eyes of the public. At the same time reserve the right to internal discussion. 4. We distribute only the information the veracity of which is assured. Avoid incompleteness or inaccuracies in the presentation of information, intentional misrepresentation, dissemination of false data about the person. And in the case of dissemination of false information, distorted facts, the construction of slander per person, regardless of the circumstances of that situation, undertake to refute false information, to correct mistakes and publicly apologize. 5. We atramos from illegal methods of obtaining information, not give in on provocation and do not provoke the opponent to further show his reaction of the General public. 6. In the performance of professional duties, we do not use physical force. At the same time reserve the right to self-defense, if there is a threat to our lives or health. 7. We do not use their official position for personal gain. As a serious crime, the perceived facts of the colleagues under any circumstances of fees (bribes) for the dissemination of false information. 8. Claiming our right to refuse to perform editor's task to prepare and publish your own information if its contents after editing has undergone significant changes, associated with the violation of journalistic standards and professional ethics. 9. We condemn plagiarism, and each fact of its appearance in the Volyn mass media will be subjected to sharp criticism by publishing the names of the kidnappers of other people's thoughts and works. The Memorandum was signed by 26 journalists, the text the user Volyn regional organization of journalists, has intentions to post online to all the journalists who share the views of the initiators of the Memorandum could for him to sign.
