Ternopil region – more than 5 thousand km of roads of General importance in the range of 1,400 km of roads of national importance. Therefore, in many circumstances, the issue of roads in the region is crucial not only from the point of view of mobility of area residents, but also from the point of view of attracting foreign investment, creating favorable investment climate and tourism potential. This said the Chairman of the Ternopil regional state administration Stepan Barna during the program "Accents week", which is released every Thursday on the channel "TTB". According to him, the loads that fall on the road, is disproportionate. Because the weight of vehicles can reach 50-60 tons, whereas previously, when these roads were constructed, only allowed to carry the weight of 10 tons. As a result, roads cannot withstand the load which they bear, and then destroyed. "At present, no real roads, in this case without repair with an appropriate basis, we can not do. That is why we last year set a goal to start the stage of reconstruction and construction of roads in the region. Priority in the Ternopil region identified two road – highway M-19 "Ternopil-Dubno" and the highway N-02 "Lviv-Ternopil". Actually, this year it is planned to direct for repair of roads in these areas about 500 million UAH. public funds", – said Stepan Barna. However, he noted that, in addition to public funds, in the region are working to attract and credit European Union funds for co-financing. "In particular, this year to 148 million UAH. loan funds provided co-financing of 10%. That is 15 million USD to the local budgets. Another important source of funding is the proceeds from the fulfillment of customs duty. Thus, my challenge to this year we fully completed the reconstruction of the road Ternopil-Dubno. At the same time fundamental for me is the quality of road construction, control of execution of works by the public sector, as well as guarantee of such works by contractors, which is "Techno-Bud-Center", – said Stepan Barna.
