Solemn Academy on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the birth of Patriarch Josyf Slipyj will be held on Sunday, June 11, NK Berezil Ternopil. The Museum-estate of Joseph Blind continue tours for students and youth of Ternopil region. In libraries and museums of local lore of the area in October-November of 2017, will act illustrative and photo documentary exhibition about the life and spiritual and social activities of Josyf Slipyj. In the field of education lessons, educational hours, scientific-practical conferences and other thematic events devoted to 125-anniversary of birthday of Joseph the Blind. In addition, the State archives of Ternopil region will be organized a photo-documentary exhibition about the life of Joseph the Blind. The bright memory of Patriarch Joseph was a witness to the events nearly a turbulent twentieth century. Through the tragic stages of our history, revolutions, wars, millions of human tragedy and personal loss he carried the fire of his indomitable spirit, the fever of the heart of a Ukrainian patriot and protector of the Ukrainian Church. In the memory of posterity, he will remain not only as cardinal, Archbishop and Patriarch, and, above all, as a Martyr of faith and of conscience, a prisoner for Christ's sake, as an exceptional personality, which was included in the history of the Church and left a bright trace in the world's theological traditions.
