Analysis of electricity consumption in the Chernigov school # 29 after the replacement of the lamp on LED

In secondary school ¹ 29 for October 2016 – March 2017 carried out the replacement of the old internal lighting to led. This project was implemented as a pilot and was designed to test the real efficiency of modern LED lamps compared to fluorescent lamps or incandescent lamps. For this project from the city budget it was allocated 168,6 thousand UAH, the number replaced with LED luminaires and lamps made 1366 units: 322 lamps in gymnasiums, halls, workshops and library; 1044 led lamps in the classroom. To determine the level of effectiveness of led lamps in the school ¹29 comparisons were made with two schools: SOSH No. 28 – mostly incandescent and mercury; Rose No. 33 – luminaires with fluorescent lamps. The economic indicators prove the feasibility of replacing the existing interior lighting to led. Total savings for six months is 18.7 thousand UAH, or 21 %, compared to last year. Forecasts indicate a reduction in the consumption of electric energy to the end of 2017 will be 1.7 MW/h, which is 28,0 ths. The experience of the 29-th school has demonstrated the effectiveness of led lamps and the obvious need for modernization of indoor lighting in all the budget institutions of the city, which will contribute to significant budgetary savings. Despite this, according to the Program of energy efficiency in budgetary institutions M. of Chernihiv in the 2017-2027 years before the end of the year will be replaced inefficient lamps with LED lamps in public sector institutions of the city. Already developed project estimates and work will begin in June. The cost of the work was 32.9 million, expected annual savings of 5.2 million UAH, and the payback period of 6.3 years. Reference: Led lamps are environmentally friendly, safe and have no harmful substances. Weak heat makes them safe even on flammable objects. Led lamps led lamps have a high efficiency: 80% of the energy goes for light and only 20% to heat. But incandescent bulbs only 5% of the work to light and 95% into heat. The low heat led lights have a compact size and low weight. Because the illuminated surface is slightly heated, LEDs are widely used in scientific and medical equipment. LEDs do not emit infrared and ultraviolet light, so they don't cause harm to the organs of vision. These lamps consume significantly less energy and have a low inertia, the ability to respond quickly to voltage fluctuations. The obvious advantage of led lights is their durability. On average, these bulbs last 100,000 hours, meaning they will last 1000 times longer than incandescent bulbs. The LEDs consistently give high-quality and bright light. They wear out over time and not burn out at a time like the light from ordinary bulbs becomes dimmer. Experts believe that very soon the old lamps will completely disappear from store shelves, they will replace a new led.
