In the Rivne region liquidated the organized criminal group engaged in illegal operations with the amber and which was attended by 3 of the employee of law enforcement body
the result of joint operation of employees of bodies of Prosecutor's office of Rivne region and Management to protect the economy in the Rivne oblast Department of the National police of Ukraine abolished the activity of an organized criminal group that systematically engaged in illegal mining on the territory of the Dubrovytsky district of amber raw, as well as its buying. The structure of the criminal group was composed of 8 people – all the inhabitants of the Dubrovytsky district, including 3 current employees of law enforcement body, namely the forest service. During carrying out the authorized searches in the territory of the warehouse and at the place of residence of the persons seized and processed raw amber weighing more than 11 kg, 8 motor pumps, fire hoses 59 and the documentation regarding the illegal transactions of purchase and sale of the "sun stone". All seized property for the total amount about 1 million UAH. Currently, in coordination with the Prosecutor's office of 5 persons is already reported about suspicion in Commission of crime. The issue of the notice of suspicion remaining defendants in criminal proceedings. Under the procedural guidance of the local Sarny of Rivne region Prosecutor's office conducted pre-trial investigation under article 198 (acquisition, storage or sale of property obtained in a criminal way), part 2 of article 28, part 2 of article 240 (illegal mining of national importance committed by an organized group), part 2 St. 364 criminal code of Ukraine (abuse of power or official position which entailed heavy consequences). Conducted investigations to establish all persons involved in the illegal operations with amber and bringing the latter to liability as prescribed by law.
