Due to financial decentralization, which began in 2015, the local government already has the ability to plan their budgets for the next 3 years. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister – Minister of regional development, construction and housing and communal services of Ukraine Gennady Zubko, commenting on the adoption of the strategy of "the Main directions of budgetary policy for 2018-2020". "In 2017, the size of local budgets amounts to 170 billion hryvnia according to plan, in 2018, the scheduled 248 billion, the growth is expected for another 154 billion. For us it is very important not only the growth of local budgets, but also reduce their costs primarily for energy reform energy efficiency", - said Gennady Zubko.
