Chernivtsi: the Films “Open night” will air this weekend in the courtyard of the town Hall
the Festival "Open night. Double 20" will be held with the support of the city Council in the Gallery of the town Hall in the night from 24 to 25 June. Chernivtsi is the fifth time I join in the holding of screenings of the most talented Directors in the framework of this event. Parallel screenings and broadcast screenings held in more than 65 venues in the Ukraine and the world, including in the area of ATO. This year will see them in Poland, Moldova, Belarus, Germany, Portugal, Czech Republic, Moldova and Egypt. All the films participating in the competition, will compete for two financial awards. The main award of the festival is 50 000 UAH, provided by the General partner "Raiffeisen Bank Aval", and the funds collected in the "mutual Fund". The main winner of the festival will be determined by the jury. The one who wins the money collected in the "mutual Fund", this year will be to determine the most severe critic – the audience through SMS-voting. Participation in the festival is open to short fiction, documentary and animated films. The competitive program brings together films and video works: Ukrainian; bilingual (which reflect the modern reality of the language situation); all films and video works of the domestic manufacturer, if the foreign language characters in the film dubbed or dubbed in Ukrainian. • In 2017, the symbol of the festival became a paper boat – origami that over the next 10 years will ply the waters film festival. • Over 19 years of the festival, the jury had more than 100 well-known artists not only in Ukraine but throughout the world.
