In the Ternopil region on the results of testing confirmed their medals 420 graduates
According to preliminary data, which have been in control of education and science of the regional state administration the number of applicants for the gold and silver medals were 690 people. However, after passing the external independent evaluation only 420 graduates were medalists. This was announced by the head of the Department of education and science of Ternopil regional state administration Olga Homa during a press conference organized on the occasion of summing up EIT. According to her, this year in region has considerably decreased the number registered on the delivery of external independent evaluation. Because registered 5 742 people, which is 900 less than it was last year. "This has two explanations – the demographic situation in the country and in the region, which requires much to be desired, and this year the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine allowed to enroll in the University to use last year's certificates. Thus, the number of potential students have already had the certificates with the results of testing," said Olga Homa. However, it is noted that the present test was that all eleventh-graders passed the state final certification in the form of external evaluation. Testing occurred from may 23 to June 16. Thus, according to the results of estimation of the gold and silver medals from 4 794 graduates received 420, and this is 8,8% of all graduates. "Gold medals were awarded to 234 graduates, silver – 185 graduates. If to compare with last year, there were more graduates and more medals – 491. The same year best have confirmed their medals applicants from secondary schools Chortkiv, zalishchyky, and Podrezkovo areas. In particular, Chertkov was 16 candidates, confirmed medal 14, in Zalishchyky district 27 candidates have confirmed medal 20, and Podgaetskii district 9 candidates confirmed 7. Also this year in region have five students that the results of testing scored 200 points. It's two students from Ternopil and one from Terebovlya, Podrezkovo district and from Berezhany", – said Olga Homa.
