Jews from around the world together with the Chernivtsi honor the memory’'yat of victims of the Holocaust
With a rally at the Theatre square began the celebration of the memory of Holocaust victims. Jews from around the world arrived in Chernivtsi, together with the local community to commemorate their ancestors who died during the Second world war. The memorial event continued with a procession to the square of city hall and a visit to the Holocaust memorial. A memorial meeting was held at the mass grave at the Jewish cemetery where buried 900 civilians – victims of fascism.
