Chernihiv: the implementation of the project of construction of temporary detention of animals continued
Corrected project for the construction of temporary detention of animals received a positive peer review and was supported by deputies of the city Council at the meeting of the 21st session of the Chernihiv city Council 7 convocation. The total cost of construction of temporary detention of animals for a new project is 9.6 million. This amount is included, as already incurred costs for the construction of the item – UAH 3.4 million, and funds to continue the implementation of the project is 6,5 million UAH. The construction of temporary detention of animals began in 2016. At present already constructed an administrative building with an area of 81 meters square, partially – cages, sheds, utilities for electricity and water-sanitation. However, with the aim of preventing the exploitation of temporary foster homes in Chernihiv construction project was sent for revision. While the modified project has partially changed the destination areas, previously designed an administrative-industrial building, its area is also increased from 81 to 168 square meters. So, the temporary keeping of additional animals will be placed in an Annex to the administration building. It includes the following heated area: diagnostic; - the operating; post - operative hospital; - boiler operating on solid fuel. In addition, on-site built heating the item will be quarantined to ensure the keeping of caged animals to the sterilization. The earlier draft had envisaged the contents just caged animals in cold cages on the street. However, before garantirovany animals are washed and vaccinated, and sub-zero temperatures in winter, this overexposure is inhumane. The modified project also includes the construction of water supply and Sewerage, electricity, landscaping, the acquisition of additional equipment, including furniture, equipment, medical equipment (including ultrasound, x-ray machine). The next stage of implementation of the project will be the tendering process for the definition of the contractor with whom the contract will be concluded that includes schedule of works.
