Last week the head of the Department of transport and communications Chernihiv city Council Yury Gorban held a meeting with carriers, which is held monthly. During the meeting, the participants agreed that the summer form of public transport drivers will be dark blue t-shirt and in winter a dark jacket. The meeting also discussed the possibility of GPS monitoring system for monitoring carriers of the terms of the contract requirements for passenger transport, the aesthetic condition of the vehicles and drivers, as well as the performance of investment obligations by carriers. In particular, carriers at that time it was noted that the GPS-monitoring system will keep track of violations at any time of day, and the history of the movement for the previous period. According to the head of the Department of transport and communications of the city Council, the GPS monitoring system on all city routes should be up and running before the end of this week. Public transportation last week installed 53 trackers, and by the end of this week will have the latest 68 trackers. Their total number amounts to 428, inclusive, GPS with a backup. Also present at the meeting heard the report of the head of Department of patrol police in the city of Chernihiv Department of the patrol police Alexander Leonov on cases of accidents involving public transport and measures to eliminate them. According to him, last month in the city occurred on 5 of these accidents.
