The main idea was to destroy the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, which became the basis of the struggle for independence. Therefore, restoring the memory of the Church and its contribution, we remember Joseph the Blind, who should be an example for imitation", - said the head of Ternopil region. When he created the organization of Ukrainian nationalists, was in its first series, and in 1931 he headed the youth organization of Ukrainian nationalists. Was arrested three times. Later became first Deputy Chairman of the OUN. He visited many countries in Western Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America arranging pickets. When I came the Soviet regime, he distributed leaflets about the famines, repression and murder. That is, showed the world community the truth about the Soviet Union. Unfortunately, his identity is not fully researched, so before historians still a lot of work to tell all about the legendary figure of Yaroslav Stetsko," said Ihor Oleshchuk.
