In Zhytomyr region, the Parliament adopted a government draft law on increase of pensions

The document is the basis the package of bills prepared by the Government pension reform, which provides for the retention of retirement age at 60 years, the abolition of taxation of pensions for working pensioners, the updating of pensions from 1 October of the current year and then auto-modernizing pensions and the deficit-free Pension Fund in the medium term due to, in particular, increase of payment discipline in terms of payment of the single social contribution. Commenting on the decision, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Grossmanov that this waiting for millions of people. "We count on the support (from the Parliament), noted the Head of Government. – The time has come when we must make decisions in the interests of pensioners, a solution that protects working people". The head of Government stressed that the decision will allow already in October of 2017 to do what in Ukraine "has not been done" - namely, to start the automatic indexation of pensions and reduce Pension Fund deficits. "This is the moment of truth! Ukrainian pensioners are waiting for this decision", - said the Head of the Government and expressed gratitude to all the parliamentarians who worked on the draft law jointly with the Cabinet and prepared it for the first reading. He stressed that such decisions – this is what "people we choose". In turn, Minister of social policy Andrei Reva, who presented the draft law to the deputies, also stressed the importance of this decision and the Government's willingness to further cooperate with the Parliament to improve future decisions.
