In Volyn region, more than 2,000 citizens had sought protection of their rights in the Prosecutor's office
Despite the narrowing of the scope of authority of the Prosecutor's office in the first half of this year to its bodies in the Volyn region for protection of their rights has addressed more than 2 thousand citizens. Given the powers of prosecution, as defined in article 131-1 of the Constitution of Ukraine and article 2 of the Law of Ukraine "About Prosecutor's office" more than a third of cases (from 746 2078) directed as other departments with relevant rose’assemname. Prosecutors resolved within 6 months of 2017 1194-treatment, of which 13 accepted. Despite the fact that according to the General rules of the Criminal procedural code of Ukraine against actions and decisions of investigators and prosecutors, reviewed by the investigating judge (in addition to complaints about failure to observe a reasonable time during the pre-trial investigation), 686, or 60% of solved cases dealt with questions of pre-trial investigation, although in comparison with the same period last year, the number of complaints in this category decreased. A small part made of the appeal on the questions of representative activity of the Prosecutor's office - they solved 38. This FL's due to the fact that currently legislation determines that the Prosecutor's office may exercise in exceptional cases and in the procedure established by law, representation in court only the interests of the state. Also appealed to the citizens for participation in criminal proceedings (such requests resolved 22), supervision of compliance with the criminal-Executive legislation (54), compliance with the legislation on execution of court decisions and other bodies (8), protection of children's rights (7). On personal reception in bodies of Prosecutor's office of area made 446 citizens. Implemented 24 outreach reception by the leadership of the Prosecutor's office of area at the place of work and residence of citizens.
