the Prosecutor's office of Rivne region, July 21, conducted a training seminar on the theme: "some aspects of liability for corruption and corruption-related offences". The event was attended by representatives of National Academy of prosecution of Ukraine, the judicial branch, employees of regional Prosecutor's office, heads of local Prosecutor's offices, their first deputies and deputies, the prosecutors of local Prosecutor's offices which, in accordance with the distribution of responsibilities organize activities in the sphere of prevention and counteraction of corruption. The seminar was opened by the Deputy Prosecutor of the Rivne region, Oleg Vasiliev, who noted the importance of continuous training for prosecutors, especially in terms of their reform and legislative changes. He added that the effectiveness of prevention and counteraction to corruption manifestations in the region depends not only on the activity of the authorized entities, which have the right to draft response but the principled position of the Prosecutor's office concerning the adoption, within its authority measures to counter this negative phenomenon, in particular, the detecting and the direction of the appropriate bodies of materials, as well as the study and approval of the draft protocols on corruption violations before sending them to court, participation in consideration by courts of such protocols. The audience was explained the organization of work of law enforcement agencies in combating corruption, in particular for the prevention and detection of violations in respect of financial controls, restrictions on part-time and combining with other activities. Chief researcher of Department of scientific-methodical support of the Prosecutor's activities in the sphere of prevention and counteraction of corruption of the research Institute of National Academy of prosecution of Ukraine Olga Zagorskaya stayed for a detailed discussion of the problems of judicial practice on consideration of reports of offences related to corruption, at the same time proposing solutions to them. The heads of departments of scientific methodological support of the activities of public prosecutors in the sphere of prevention and counteraction of corruption and the participation of prosecutors in criminal proceedings of the research Institute of National Academy of prosecution of Ukraine Zoya Zaginey and Alexander Gladun presented a training presentation. It includes explanatory tables regarding the mechanisms of application of certain provisions of law as well as criminal law, criminal procedural aspects of application of measures of criminal-legal character concerning legal entities. During the event, the participants demonstrated a high level of knowledge of substantive and procedural law, and exchanged views and gained experience, identified a route and directions to the correct and effective application of the norms of anti-corruption legislation.
