In Chernivtsi will summarize the results of an international project that aims to draw attention to upon ecological problems of the West region
July 27 at 11.00 in the Central square in front of city Hall will host the event “Posting” on the results of the international youth scientific environmental project "community initiative for a healthy environment in Western Ukraine". It is piloted in July in the Chernivtsi and Ternopil regions. The project is implemented with the assistance of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Germany and funded by German organizations: the Foundation "remembrance, responsibility and Future" (Stiftung "Erinnerung, Verantwortung und Zukunft") and the Robert Bosch Foundation (Robert Bosch Stiftung). The organizers attract public attention to ecological problems of the region, namely: the pollution of rivers and the coastline, sites of formation of spontaneous and organized landfills. In Chernivtsi in the project participate 7 students of Hydrometeorology, faculty of geography of Chernivtsi national University named after Yuriy Fedkovych, and 5 students from various German universities (directions: econtainer, politology, pedagogics). During the project were performed the following activities: ? environmental problems are two separate Ukrainian-German groups in the Chernivtsi and Ternopil regions, respectively; ? the research of the ecological state of the rivers Prut, Cheremosh, Klokuchka and Malenica Chernivtsi region, visiting sewage treatment facilities in Chernivtsi and Kitsman', mapping locations of dumps, filming and photographing places of pollution, the thematic survey of residents of Chernivtsi, Vyzhnytsya and Kitsman.
