Despite the fact that the organizers of the so-called "festival" flagrantly ignore state sovereignty of Ukraine, universally recognized norms of international law and legislation of Ukraine, head of the Department of family and youth of Ternopil regional state administration Igor Cherny calls on the youth of the region to show patriotism, statist position and national dignity and to refuse to participate in the event. "This festival is a regular provocation aimed at legitimizing the occupation of the Ukrainian Peninsula. It is likely that the outcome could become an international diplomatic row and ban on entry to Ukraine citizens of other countries, of which Russia will be able to invite there, – said Igor Black. – In addition, the organizers declare that the aim of the festival is "to promote values of peace and democratic principles", but we all know that really means for Russia such concepts. Therefore, we appeal to public organizations, governments and United communities with a request to explain to our young people, as well as representatives of civil society institutions in other countries with whom we have cooperation, the seriousness of the consequences of participation in the so-called "world festival of youth and students". We believe that, in case of receipt of the invitation, the only response should be a boycott of the West."
