In Volyn region prosecutors will ensure that the culprit in Knyaginino went to jail
Volyn region Prosecutor's office will appeal against the sentence of Lutsk city district court in criminal proceedings on violation of the rules of road safety, which resulted in the death of the victim, 57-year-old resident of the city of Kivertsi. As is well known to everybody, 30 January 2017 in the evening in the village of Knyaginino Lutsk district under the wheels of his car “Subaru Tribeca” killed 35-year-old woman who was walking on the side of the road, holding the hand of his infant son. From the received traumas she has died on the spot. The driver who hit, tried to escape, but it managed to hold. The man was in a state of alcoholic SP'intoxication. The court found a grief-the driver, who was genuinely remorseful, guilty of a criminal offense under part 2 of article 286 of the Criminal code of Ukraine and sentenced him to 5 years imprisonment with deprivation of the right to operate vehicles for three years and the establishment of a 3-year probationary period. Appeal against sentence, prosecutors will insist on a real imprisonment of the culprit.
