For the maintenance of institutions of vocational education Chernigov spends RS 80 million
During consideration of the Report on execution of city budget for 1 half of 2017 at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Chernihiv city Chairman Vladislav Atroshenko raised the issues of funding of public institutions of vocational education. In Chernihiv there are 7 public institutions of vocational education. The city sees a clear need to optimize their room, because for the implementation of the educational process, in the opinion of the mayor, it should be almost twice less, and to increase the state order for a desired production profession. The mayor reported that the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine has no objection to the optimization of the facilities of vocational schools and reducing the number of specialties, but students cannot decline. Given this, it was planned to combine the 4 vocational schools: 2 * 2, however, the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine gave consent to the Union until that 2 technical and vocational institutions of the city. So, with the new academic year in one institution of technical and vocational education will be combined: State vocational-technical institution "Chernihiv vocational Lyceum of woodworking industry" and the State vocational institution "Chernihiv vocational building Lyceum". In 2016 the funding of vocational schools at the expense of the city budget, but it's worth Chernigov 80 million UAH. Overall spending on the educational sector of the city, given the reduction of state subsidies for educational institutions, amount to 150 million UAH from the city Treasury. Vladislav Atroshenko: - The regional government also believes it is unfair that the community pays scholarships to students from the region and even from other areas of the country in which studying in the vocational school, more than 60 %. According to the mayor, regional authorities need more procedural to resolve this issue with the territorial communities, whose students are studying in vocational schools of Chernihiv. So, for the next school year the city hopes to reduce the financial burden on the city budget for the maintenance of institutions of vocational education due to the partial attraction of means from the regional budget or state subsidies. The city also raises the question about the extension of the ordering on the specialty tractor operators, slingers, welders, i.e. in the working field, is a real demand in the labour market in the city, instead of stylists, makeup artists, etc. - the mayor told.
