Chernihiv: the Future memorial to the Defenders of Ukraine needs to inspire heroism
Yesterday Chernihiv city Council held a regular meeting of the working group on writing of technical specifications for the construction of the Memorial to the Defenders of Ukraine on the square of Heavenly Hundred Heroes in Chernihiv. The topic of discussion was the amendments to the regulation on the competition. Participation in the workshop was attended by representatives of the structural subdivisions and members of the city Council, community activists, parents of fallen soldiers of ATO. Was the day before the announced meeting topic: "How to make a memory, etched in stone, could live forever. What types of activities and practices you would suggest for this place? How, in your opinion, it is better to link the public space of the square of Heavenly Hundred Heroes with a memorial?" In the course of communication all participants of the working group was generally of the view that the memorial to the Defenders of Ukraine should be visokay, inspire heroism and to evoke a sense of patriotism and pride for their heroes, vdovskikh life for his native land. The working group has repeatedly stressed that members of the public should actively be involved in the debate over the construction of the Memorial to the Defenders of Ukraine to take into account the best wishes and offers of inhabitants of the city.
