the Prosecutor's office of Rivne region completed pre-trial investigation and sent to court the indictment in criminal proceedings against 2 employees of the Rivne police Department of the Main Directorate of the National police in the Rivne region, who committed corruption crimes. It is established that the major and the captain of the police demanded and received from the citizen illegal benefit in the amount of 1 thousand US dollars for not involvement of her criminal liability. After receipt by the law enforcement authorities of unlawful benefit by their employees of the Prosecutor's office of Rivne region and Management of the security Service in Rivne region was detained and the cash confiscated. The actions of police officers are qualified under part 3 of article 368 UK of Ukraine (obtaining undue advantage, combined with extortion, according to preliminary arrangement by group of persons). To them the court applied a preventive measure in the form of detention with alternative Deposit. At present, the accused is dismissed from the police force.
