Implementation of the Program of support of birth rate in the city of Chernihiv in the years 2017-2022, adopted by the Chernihiv city Council on the initiative of the mayor Vladislav Atroshenko, started from September 21, 2017 with the aim of providing material support to citizens at birth and improving the demographic processes in the city. Last year for the period of the Program assistance at child birth was used 299 Chernihiv families. It was directed 2,405 million UAH from the city Treasury. Since the beginning of this year, received an allowance at the birth of children already 525 Chernihiv families. To run the Program in the city budget for the current year provides for 20 million and if necessary, the amount will be adjusted. Assistance is provided to families, the place of whose residence was in the city of Chernihiv. The documents for receiving benefits must submit to the Department of citizens of the Chernihiv city Council (vul. Shevchenko, 9). Assistance is provided in a lump sum at the first address of one of the parents, but upon review by the Commission on the preliminary examination of the question of assistance at birth, and the approval of the Executive Committee of the Chernihiv city Council.
