In Lutsk mayor Mykola Romaniuk met with the beekeepers and Mead
In our city for the tenth time passes, the ethno-festival “Christmas In Lutsk”. Traditionally, the ninth time it is a contest of drinking Meads, which are presented from different regions of our country. And here's the Lutsk mayor Mykola Romaniuk met with the beekeepers and Mead. In conversation took part the Deputy of the mayor Andrey kitty, heads of Department of international cooperation and project activities Vera Kudryavtseva, the culture Department Tetiana Hnativ, Department of city promotion of tourism and city promotion Bogdan Kalisz, Deputy Director of the Department for agricultural development of Volyn regional state administration Yuriy Yurchenko, President of the Union of beekeepers of Ukraine Volodymyr Stretovych, President of the Mead of Ukraine Vasyl Barabash, Vice-President of the Union of beekeepers of Ukraine, Chairman of the brotherhood of Volyn beekeepers “Swarm” Vladimir Dmitruk, President of the society of beekeepers in the Lublin Voivodeship Zbigniew Ancic, representatives of public organizations of beekeepers and Mead from Lviv, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Transcarpathian and other areas. Mayor Mykola Romaniuk congratulated all on Christmas and wished a good stay in Lutsk. He noted that it's nice to see such guests of honor at one of the largest Christian festivals in our city. According to the mayor, managed to establish good cooperation with beekeepers and Mead Volhynia. He stressed that the city government now pays considerable attention to the promotion of Lutsk, to be known to as many tourists as possible. “One of the elements is a drinking honeys that have been a traditional drink for our people in ancient times. Right now it is recovering gradually, because this drink is beneficial to health of the person”, - he noted. Mayor Mykola Romaniuk added that when there is collaboration and support — this gives the result. According to him, Vladimir Dmitruk and his associates are involved in all tourism exhibitions and represent the city of Lutsk. In conclusion, Mykola Romaniuk thanked everyone who came to our city and wished good health, happiness and peace in the country. Noted the good cooperation between the authorities and beekeepers and Vice-President of the Union of beekeepers of Ukraine, Chairman of the brotherhood of Volyn beekeepers “Swarm” Vladimir Dmitruk, who noted that there has been good dialogue. In joint work, according to him, managed to realize the project “Honey house”, where anyone can buy bee products. In addition, the brotherhood of Volyn beekeepers “the Swarming state” became part of the Tourism Alliance and has developed the country's first honey routes. Their peculiarity, according to Vladimir Dmitruk, is that the tourists can visit the apiary, to see how the bees, to try to extract the honey, and the like. He stressed that introducing the Lutsk at travel shows and fairs, along with information materials about cultural and historical heritage of the city is represented by drinking honey. According to him, at the stand of our city always full of visitors. Thanked Mykola Romaniuk for the support of beekeepers and Mead and the President of the Union of beekeepers of Ukraine Volodymyr Stretovych, and President of the Mead of Ukraine Vasyl Barabash. Volodymyr Stretovych noted that representatives of the industry of Volhynia is one of the best in Ukraine. According to him, our region is an example of mutual cooperation between authorities and public organizations, which gives positive results. Also Volodymyr Stretovych, called positive the fact that luck has been promoting the drinking of honey, because it is an ancient Ukrainian drink. Vasyl Barabash said that only in coming together and working together will achieve the necessary results. The President of the society of beekeepers in the Lublin region of Poland Zbigniew Jancic noted that he was pleased to meet with their Ukrainian colleagues. He expressed hope for close cooperation of beekeepers in both countries. According to him, we each other have something to learn and something to share. He is convinced that this could be another step towards the approximation of Ukraine to the European community.
