Under this name in the reading room COLLECTION. K. A. Timiryazev took place literary and art evening under Stussy readings dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the birth of Ukrainian poet, political prisoner, Hero of Ukraine Vasyl Stus. During his short life, poet, member of the Ukrainian Helsinki Union Vasyl Stus have left a substantial literary heritage, which after his death was printed in 6 volumes of works, most of which have been translated into English and published abroad. Memory of Vasyl Stus – poet, literary critic, human rights activist became an event of national scale, which caused significant interest of the public, scientists and mass media. More than a quarter century Lusowskie readings are traditionally held in January in Vinnytsia region, in particular in regional scientific library named after. K. A. Timiryazev. Year after year they bring together the colors of the local intelligentsia, all who are not indifferent to Ukrainian culture and the national idea: politicians, artists, writers, scientists, teachers, students and young students. In the libraries of the region are poetry readings, literary evenings, literary watches, presented book exhibitions and literature viewings. Current Lusowskie accompany reading: Exhibition-memory "is Not just a poet, but the spirit and conscience of the people" (Department of history); Exhibition-portrait "And unbearable innocent Kara..." (Department of humanitarian, technical and natural Sciences); View newspaper articles "the Great Ukrainian Vasyl Stus" (in the sector of periodicals). The participants recited poems of Vasyl Stus, enjoyed a performance of Ukrainian folk songs and performances of famous writers –fellow countrymen.
