In Khmelnytsky oblast rescuers honored the memory of soldiers-internationalists
February 12, the eve of the 27th anniversary of withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and the day of honoring combatants in the territory of other States, the staff of head Department gschs of Ukraine in the Khmelnitsky region congratulated the soldiers internationalists who participated in military conflicts in the middle East. With welcoming speech to the combat veterans addressed the acting’duties of the chief of head Department Dmitriy Bondar, who wished them and their families happiness, peace and prosperity, good health’I and a long life. «In Afghanistan, – said Dmitry Putin, – the Ukrainians carried out a peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, Hungary, Egypt, Iraq, Angola, Sierra Leone, Czechoslovakia, Ethiopia, Yugoslavia. From the beginning of the antiterrorist operation with a profound sense of duty along with the soldiers and rescuers, protecting the country on its Eastern border. They are a worthy example of human devotion, heroism and courage". During the event all the participants got acquainted with the terrible events that took place in Afghanistan during the war, watching a documentary that has stirred up the hearts even those who have never been there. After that, those present paid tribute to fallen soldiers a moment of silence. Among those who in the years of stormy adolescence befell to fulfill their international duty, there were rescuers uprising, which on this day were awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts from the management of the Main Directorate and the authorities. Finally, the participant of military operations in the Republic Afghanistan, the commander of the 14th state fire and rescue parts of Krasilov Ruslan Gudz shared their memories of those troubled years.
