About the activities of cultural institutions in the context of administrative-territorial reform was discussed on February 17 at the meeting chaired by the acting Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Ivan Babiychuk. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Ukrainian Council of Directors elementary specialized art schools (schools of aesthetic education Alexander Shalit, representatives of departments of culture of regional state administrations, cities of regional importance, the staff of the regional libraries. "As you know, in the Ternopil region created 26 of the consolidated territorial communities, - said acting Deputy Chairman of regional state administration Ivan babiychuk. - These changes mean that the state gives the people of the territory almost all the powers she has, only reserves a separate function. Furthermore, the community must provide 14 services, including in the field of culture. Now we have to prove that the communities were self-sufficient, and able to provide all services required by the state." Ivan babiychuk noted that the outstanding issue of funding for the sector, because it is always funded from the local budget. "Right now the joint work of representatives of regional state administration and workers of the cultural sector, - said Ivan babiychuk. - We must work in a consultative way with the community leader, parliamentary buildings, because only this is the key to the success of the reform."
