In the Rivne region during the meeting of the Commission of TEB and an emergency was discussed the issue of combating fires in natural ecosystems
23 February in Dubrovytsky district administration held a meeting of the constant Commission on questions tekhnogenno-ecological safety and emergency situations of the district. In the work of the Commission, held under the guidance of the Chairman of regional state administration Sergey Kirkevich, was attended by the chairmen of rural district councils, representatives of forest enterprises, local water management, as well as the Deputy chief of head Department gschs of Ukraine in the Rovno area the Colonel of service of civil protection Igor Mikhalchuk and Director of the operations coordination centre GU DSNS Colonel civil defense Bohdan danyluk. The main issue that was discussed at the meeting was the organization of the prevention and response to fires in the ecosystems of the area. During the meeting, EAC chief of GU gschs Bogdan Danilyuk briefed the audience on the status of fires during 2015 in ecosystems in the region and directly in Dubrovitsky. It has been proven statistics of fires, the amount of material costs for their elimination, volume of forces and funds raised for fighting fires in ecosystems. As noted by the Colonel of service of civil protection Igor Mikhalchuk: “This meeting is very important, because on the territory of the Dubrovytsky district is a large area of forests and peatlands, where fires occur annually, for the elimination of which is spent considerable material resources. Therefore, the main objective is creating awareness of the local population to comply with the fire safety requirements to prevent fires in ecosystems, as well as close interaction between local governments and first responders for the elimination of these fires in the initial stage". All participants were sympathetic to this issue. And although the majority of rural councils in Dubrovytsky district are subsidized, and all the participants of the meeting came to the conclusion about the necessity of allocating funds for combating fires in natural ecosystems.
