In the Rivne region rescuers jointly with the state authorities and local self-government take measures to prevent fires in natural ecosystems
01 March in Sarny district administration held a meeting of the constant Commission on questions tekhnogenno-ecological safety and emergency situations of the district. The main theme of the meeting was the issue of preventing and responding to fires in natural ecosystems and peat bogs Sarnensky district. In the work of the Commission, held under the guidance of the Chairman of regional state administration Yaroslav Yakovchuk was attended by chairmen of rural district councils, representatives of structural subdivisions of RSA, as well as the Deputy chief of GU gschs of Ukraine in the Rivne region, the Colonel of service of civil protection Igor Mikhalchuk and Director of the operations coordination centre GU DSNS Colonel civil defense Bohdan danyluk. In its report, the representatives of the regional Department of Civil service on emergency situations told about the statistics of fires in natural ecosystems of the region in 2015, their main causes and issues that arose during their suppression. In particular, officers of the state emergency service said that last year in Rivne region occurred 67 forest fires on a total area of over 145 hectares and 30 peat’drunken fires on a total area of almost 40 hectares. Participation in the liquidation of these fires took 150 people of staff and lifeguards were involved in 36 units of fire and rescue equipment of the state Service for emergency situations. Only through close cooperation of local authorities with the Department of state Service for emergency situations and the dedicated work of firefighters managed to prevent the spread of the fire element to the scale of the state level and to eliminate all fires. Also, the rescuers said that the special hazard fire hazard in the spring and summer for the life and welfare of the population are natural arsonists that deliberately sets fire to the deadwood — dried bushes and trees, stubble and landfills. Just last year in the Rivne region from the uncontrolled burning of dead wood, the fire destroyed 6 houses of the peasants, and worst of all – has claimed the lives of 2 people, 4 people suffered serious injuries. After that, the officers of the rescue Service explained in detail the present heads of local governments the organization of complex of measures on prevention of occurrence of fires in forests, peat’Aniko and agricultural lands, as well as the algorithm for the monitoring of fire safety on the territory and ways of rapid response to any cases of emergencies and events in natural ecosystems. According to the results of all the reports and taking into account the discussion of the agenda of the constant Commission on questions tekhnogenno-ecological safety and emergency situations Sarnensky district has adopted a report with a list of specific tasks and deadlines for their implementation. At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the district state administration Yaroslav the conference stressed the audience to the presidents of rural councils, as well as the heads of all departments and agencies of the district on the need to make every effort to prevent the occurrence during spring-summer period on the territory of Carnosine emergency situations and events in natural ecosystems, and in case of their occurrence, ensure a concerted and coordinated actions for their efficient elimination.
