The choir was born with Alexander Nikolaevich Popov in 1985 and a teacher of the music school of Vasily Timofeyevich Kozulina. The two enthusiasts formed the core of the future of the choir. And already on 8 may 1985 the choir first performed on the stage of the district House of culture. It was then that his magnificent and masterful execution of songs "Smuglyanka" by A. Novikov and "do Not get old soul veterans" applause chmelnice. The ensemble consists of approximately 40 singers who live and breathe the song. The program of choral songs is more than a hundred works. This military – Patriotic, spiritual, Ukrainian folk, comic and author. And among all the members of the choir is Olga, Gavura, who was born in the Rostov region , but in Ukrainian family. Before the war in the early 30 – ies of the family was exiled to Transcaucasia. Grandpa Ivan Prokofievich Serdyuk wore a shirt and kept saying, as if he were adjured: "don't forget that you are a Ukrainian, a language, a language remember." Father almost 20 years led the Church choir , taught to sing songs, play musical instruments. Youth Olga was held in Baku. Studied in medical school. Night duty in the hospital, and in the evening ran to the rehearsals, because I could not without a scene. There he met his fate – Ukrainian Alexander Govoru. Moved to Ukraine. Worked as chief nurse of the trade-Union sanatorium "Khmilnyk". There she studied not only medicine but took over and culture. She is the organizer and writer and performer. And when the town – exactly 30 years ago – I gathered a choir of veterans... one of the first enrolled and Olga. She sings songs, ballads, and for nearly 20 years, is the elder people's Amateur choir.
