representatives of the Department on nationalities and religions of the regional state administration on April 05, participated in the meeting of the district Council of churches and religious organizations under the head of Vinnytsia regional state administration. According to the Chairman of the Vinnytsia state administration Victor SMEs, an Advisory body under Vinnytsia district administration was established in July 2015, with the aim of improving the mechanism of state-Church relations on the territory of the Vinnytsya district, to expedite the resolution of topical issues of activity of religious organizations, the prevention of manifestations in any form of religious exceptionalism and intolerance. Addressing the meeting, the head of Department on nationalities and religions of the regional state administration Igor Saletsky spoke about the work his administration, described the religious situation in the field and in the Vinnytsia region in particular, focused on numerical network of religious organizations, interfaith issues in environment and activities of the regional Council of Churches and religious organizations, as an effective mechanism to solve them. Besides Igor Saletsky noted the importance of holding meetings with representatives of state authorities and religious organizations of various denominations. You can find a lot of chances that separate us. But this is a road to nowhere. We need to work together to improve mechanisms of interaction between the state and churches and among religious organizations, said I. Solecki, - thus we should exclude from communicating hate speech. During the meeting, the Members of the Council of churches discussed a range of issues, in particular, the introduction of the teaching of spiritual and moral guidance in educational institutions of Vinnytsia region and cooperation of state authorities and religious organizations to implement social projects and programs. In the context of the discussion of mechanisms of introduction of Christian ethics in secondary schools, the Chairman of the district state administration Victor Smigel supported the initiative of religious organizations on learning from the experience of other regions in addressing this issue. In addition, at the end of the meeting, the representatives of religious organizations, behind closed doors, elected the Chairman of the district Council of churches and religious organizations. They became Porhun Dmitry Petrovich – Podolskiy, the representative of the Ukrainian Union conference of the Church of seventh-day Adventists.
