The month of voluntary disarmament in the Zhytomyr region, as throughout Ukraine, continued throughout March. For citizens who were in possession of unregistered dangerous items – this was a good opportunity to get rid of them without any consequences for themselves or officially legally be taken into account. During the month of delivery of weapons, ammunition and explosives for police units commissioned more than 105 hunting gladkovoloknista, 28 devices for shooting of rubber bullets and gas guns. In addition, I have 38 weapons of those types, which are used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Overall delivered 214 units of more than 1,400 weapons and ammunition, the most among the last of an army of samples, – said the Deputy head of Department for preventive activities SEPL Zhytomyr oblast Vladimir Mazarchuk. Each unit of the delivered arms and equipment checked by the employees of an authorization system of accounts of bodies of internal Affairs about the possibility of theft, loss or involvement in the Commission of crimes. For its part, experts give a conclusion about the General condition of arms and ammunition. If negative results are not available, citizens have the right to issue the relevant documents for the right to use weapons. This opportunity expressed a desire to use more than 30 residents of Zhytomyr city.
