Chernihiv oblast: the carelessness of citizens in dealing with fire causes fires in ecosystems
From the beginning of the year in Chernihiv in natural environmental systems has arisen 98 fires in which result 1 person was lost, the area burned amounted to more than 240 ha. Only for the last days firemen left on suppression of such fires 10 times, 5 more fires were registered in the residential sector of citizens because of burning grass and dry vegetation. The danger of such fires is that wind gusts, the fire quickly spread to large areas. Only thanks to the professional actions of firefighters prevented the tragic consequences from such fires. So, 04 April at 13:42 in Service of rescue "101" in Nizhyn received a report of a house fire and 2 of the farm buildings, which arose as a result of burning of dry grass 76-year-old man. To a scene there arrived the office the 16th state fire and rescue unit consisting of 4 personnel and one piece of special equipment. The fire at 14:07 localized and at 15:55 finally eliminated. The fire destroyed outbuildings, damaged the roof and ceiling of a residential house on the area of 6 sq. m. The same day, firefighters were eliminated fire houses and 4 outbuildings in Kozelets, Prilutsky, Korop and Warminsko areas. In all the above cases the causes of fires became careless citizens in the handling of fire by burning dry vegetation. In connection’connection with this, rescuers appeal to the population with the request to be extremely attentive and careful in circulation with fire. Not making a fire, do not throw cigarette butts or Unliquidated matches near buildings, peatlands, forested areas, fields and roadsides. Disregard of the requirements of the rules of fire and environmental safety under article 77-1 of the code of Ukraine on administrative offences prescribes punishment in the form of a fine for citizens in the amount from 170 to 340 ka hryvnias, and for officials - from 850 to 1190 and UAH.
