One of the priority tasks of the state emergency service of Ukraine is the clearing of explosive subjects of times of past wars. Every day pyrotechnic units of the rescue Service carried out 25 missions, found and cleared about 150 explosive devices. Only in 2015, pyrotechnics DSNs neutralized more than 50 thousand ammunition, including aircraft bombs 748. This was announced by First Deputy Chairman of gschs of Ukraine Oleg Malceski during a joint briefing with UNICEF and the Ministry of education and science on the occasion of the International day of education on mine security and assistance in protine activities. “currently, the State service of Ukraine for emergency situations enforcing sedn important functions - purging of the liberated territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions from ammunition. Since July 2014 fireworks SSES cleared over 11 thousand 600 hectares of the territories of 38 hectares of water areas, cleared about 1 thousand social objects"objects, neutralized approximately 55 thousand explosives in Eastern Ukraine, including about 760 specially installed explosive devices", - said Oleg Malceski. According to First Deputy Chairman of gschs, ammunition is often disguised as everyday objects, toys, and, primarily, directed against civilians and children. That is why rescuers are constantly carrying out awareness-roses’explanatory work with citizens and are taught the rules of conduct at detection of suspicious subjects. Employees of gschs attend preschool and educational institutions on the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions and in other regions, and themed sessions on mine action and mine risk education.
