680 thousand UAH of a penalty paid by the court verdict organizer of gambling business in Rivne region
Agreeing with the arguments of the public Prosecutor, the court sarnensky district of Rivne region in January 2014 was convicted 33-year-old resident in the area of gambling. According to the sanction of part 2 of article 203-2 of UK of Ukraine (occupation of gambling business by a person previously convicted for the same offence) the offender was sentenced to a fine in the amount of 680 thousand UAH. But within two years the convict to execute the sentence of the court was in no hurry. Despite the fact that in December 2015 the last expired term of the deferment of payment of fine, the convicted person has only paid him one-eighth part, - said the head of the local Prosecutor's office of Sarny of Rivne region Vadim Topolske. Specified became the basis for making Sarnenskiy local Prosecutor's office in Rivne region a petition to the court about the replacement of the unpaid amount of the fine a sentence of imprisonment for a period of 12 years (according to article 53 of the criminal code calculation: one day of imprisonment for 8 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens). Only after the response of the prosecution, the convict paid the remaining amount of the fine. As punishment, the convict has fully complied with the requirements of the Prosecutor, the court left without satisfaction. Thus, thanks to the principled and consistent position of the Prosecutor's office in the budget received UAH 680 thousand.
