In the State archives of Ternopil region opened an exhibition "Boundless world of Ivan Marchuk"
State archives of Ternopil region took place the opening of the exhibition "Boundless world of Ivan Marchuk", on the occasion of the 80th anniversary since the birth of the artist. Approximately five thousand works and more than 100 personal exhibitions is the legacy of the artist. Pictures by Ivan Marchuk are stored in galleries and private collections around the world. "The basis of the exhibition documents stored in the DATO in the personal fond of Ivan Marchuk and books of scientific-reference library of state archives, — said the chief specialist of the state archives of Ternopil region Tatyana Markevich. Noteworthy memories of Ivan Marchuk his sister Catherine, written in June 1994. Sister recalls how a guy could spend hours with a passion to redraw from the books of portraits of writers and poets. Especially interesting are the directories for the different periods of art. The works which are in them are striking in their originality and craftsmanship. There is also an interview with Marchuk and publications about the artist in different books, periodicals and collections.
