Man convicted of illegal manufacturing of alcohol in the underground workshop of
the Prosecutor's office supported the state prosecution in criminal proceedings on the illegal production of alcohol 55-year-old resident of the regional center of Volyn. Arranging an underground workshop in the basement of his house, the man from November 2015 to February 2016 engaged in this activity. In the time spent by police officers in February 2016 a search in the underground plant was seized 400 liters of alcohol, more than 2,700 bottles of alcohol with counterfeit labels of vodkas of different brands and equipment for production. During a pretrial investigation the accused pleaded guilty to the illegal manufacture of alcoholic beverages by opening of underground shops (a criminal offense under part 2 of article 204 of the Criminal code of Ukraine). The sentence of Lutsk city district court he was sentenced to a fine in the amount of 3500 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (59 500 USD).
