July 14, Chairman of the Zhytomyr regional state administration Serhiy Mashkovsky, met with a delegation of the Embassy of Israel in Ukraine headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the country Eliab Belotserkovsk. The head of the region congratulated the Israeli Ambassador's visit to Zhytomyr region and expressed hope that this meeting will give additional impetus to the development of relations between partners in the two countries. Sergey Mashkovsky stressed that the relationship between Zhytomyr and Israel, for objective reasons, was adjusted decades ago. Jewish national community, according to the head of the Executive power of the territory, has all the conditions to ensure their religious and cultural needs. "In Zhitomir there is a secondary school, where educational process is based on the traditions of the Jewish people, daycare, charitable organization "Hesed Shlomo", a school for girls "Mahon", the children's town "Alumm" in s. Zarechany, – said Sergey Mashkovsky. – We respect and appreciate the Jewish community of the region within the limits of authority contribute to its development."
