Zhytomyr: social assistance is financed in full
In the State budget of Ukraine for 2016 for the payment of state assistance to families with children, poor families, disabled from childhood, disabled children, temporary state assistance to children and helping to care for individuals who live with disability I or II due to mental disorder, Zhytomyr region provided subvention for a total sum of 1 640,3 million. According to the Department of labour and social protection of population of regional state administration, during January-July 2016 in the area of public assistance received 81,0 thousand families with children, 18.9 thousand low-income families, 17.9 per thousand disabled children and children with disabilities for a total amount of 1004,5 million. Since the beginning of the year, social assistance and cash security to parents-caregivers and adoptive parents paid 599 pupils in 37 children's homes of family type and 196 foster families for a total amount of 14.9 million UAH.
