"The session is unscheduled, because it is associated with the identified cases of ASF in the Rivne and Volyn regions, which is a direct threat of introduction of the pathogen into the territory of Ternopil region", — said Ivan Krysak. The state emergency anti-epidemic Commission decided to consider the ASF situation in the region threatening. Then the meeting approved the plan of joint actions of operational services that, in the event of an outbreak of African swine fever on the territory of Ternopil region, will be involved in carrying out actions for the localization of the source of the pathogen and elimination of the disease. Key recommendations to the managers and owners of specialized pig farms: to provide an indoor mode; to equip before entering the stables, desmata and regularly fill them with a disinfecting solution; not support inter-enterprise relations with the regions, which recorded cases of African swine fever; not to send to slaughter enterprises pigs in the regions where were recorded outbreaks of ASF; the purchase of pigs from outside the region carried out only after confirmation of epizootic prosperity farms suppliers and territories, and the like. Main Department of Demirtzoglou in the field should ensure that monitoring studies on African and classical swine fever in farms and wild fauna. Also during this meeting raised the pressing question of the epizootic situation in Europe and worldwide nodular dermatitis and methods of its prevention. The state emergency anti-epidemic Commission recommended that the owners of the animals pre-treated with insecticides, or drugs, insect repellents (insect repellents); in any symptoms of skin lesions in animals – immediately inform the specialists of the state service of veterinary medicine; of intent for the purchase of cattle abroad in advance to notify the territorial bodies of Demirtzoglou Ukraine.
