Preventing and combating corruption is one of priorities in work of law enforcement bodies of Rivne region
the Prosecutor's office of Rivne region in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies continued systematic work aimed at strengthening of anti-corruption activities in the region and the adoption of the principle of inevitability of responsibility for corruption violations. In the Rivne region from the beginning of 2016 the investigators, the police and the security Service of Ukraine has completed the investigation in criminal proceedings and filed 29 indictments against 38 persons who committed corruption criminal offences. Categories of offences sent to court criminal proceedings to more than 74 % reported receiving improper advantage by an official. For example, waiting for the verdict of the court head of one of the district state administrations who demanded and received 3500 USD undue advantage. The indictment against the official in the current month, the Prosecutor's office sent to court. Investigators of Prosecutor's office of Rivne region filed 12 indictments on 17 individuals committing corruption-related criminal offences. For example, completed pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings against 4 persons: Lieutenant Colonel SAT and the head of one of departments of the State border service in Rivne oblast, who received undue benefit in the amount of 4000 UAH for preventing illegal activities for the extraction of amber, as well as the Deputy of the village Council and a resident of the area that illegal benefit law enforcement was provided. Now the accused awaiting the verdict. Also in the dock was the detective police, who received undue benefit in the amount of 15 thousand UAH for assistance to return to the car. The highest amount withdrawn in 2016, the illegal gains is 500 thousand UAH. At the time of receipt of such cash militiamen exposed and detained one of the village heads Rivne district, which in exchange for the undue advantage promised the citizen to assist in the decision on granting in the property 10 land plots with a total area of 1.5 hectares. Primarily the facts of criminal corruption convict in the areas of: budget, land relations, education and transport. The amount of damage caused to the state interests in criminal proceedings for corruption offences amounted to UAH 1.6 million. Of them have already recovered more than 600 thousand UAH. In addition, the bodies of preliminary investigation for the purpose of compensation of damage it is seized property of suspects totaling 4.3 million UAH. In 2016 entered into force verdicts proclaimed by the courts in corruption criminal proceedings against 7 persons. Law enforcement agencies of the region also took measures to combat administrative corruption karani. They were submitted to the court 47 protocols on administrative offenses related to corruption (sent 20 – prosecutors). By results of consideration by courts of cases on corruption offenses already prosecuted 34 officials. The vast majority of exposed violations concerned the failure to comply with requirements concerning communication about the conflict of interests, restrictions on combining and overlapping with other activities, a gift, financial control requirements. The guilty the court imposed a penalty of a fine totaling 40 thousand UAH. In addition, to meet the requirements of part 3 of article 65 of the law of Ukraine "On prevention of corruption," prosecutors for the first 9 months of 2016 140 made representations to eliminate the causes and conditions that contributed to the Commission of offences related to corruption. By results of consideration of acts of prosecutorial response to disciplinary conformity brought 29 officials. Preventing and combating corruption remains one of the priorities of law enforcement agencies in the region, in particular the Prosecutor's office. Work in this direction continues.
