Presentation of results of study of the tourist market of Chernihiv
28 October in Chernihiv city Council held a press conference: "Results of studies of the tourist market of Chernihiv by the survey of inbound tourists. The first step to writing strategies and promotion of the city." The event was held with the participation of national Deputy of Ukraine Anna Romanova, Deputy mayor Olga Honch, assistant chief of staff Senator (Oregon, USA) Floyd Prozanski – Kevin Moore, associate professors of the Department of marketing, PR-technologies and logistics CNTU Victoria Liquid and Tatiana Substancia. During a meeting with journalists, representatives of hotel and restaurant business discussed the results of a study of the tourist market of Chernihiv. As previously reported, this questionnaire was developed by representatives CNTU together with Anna Romanova for conducting a survey among foreign and Ukrainian tourists. Spread the questionnaire in Chernihiv hotels, as well as during city events for the city Day. The survey lasted for one and a half month. As reported by experts of the Department of marketing, were interviewed 795 respondents, of whom 137 - completed the survey online via the Internet. In addition to the key tourism markets (Ukraine, Belarus, Poland), among the countries dominated by tourists from Azerbaijan, Italy, Germany, Israel, Turkey and others. Among the interviewed tourists, 38 % of respondents came for recreation, 34% were to visit friends and relatives, 16 % – to get acquainted with the culture and for sightseeing, 15% through shopping and the same – came on a business trip. The majority of respondents enjoy visiting Chernigov through its architectural monuments and historical places. Almost all tourists (97%) expressed a desire to again visit our city and will recommend it to their friends and family. For reviews of respondents, they are still not satisfied with the condition of roads, condition of public transport and the relatively high prices of goods and services. According to Deputy mayor Olga Honch, on the basis of these studies will be developed the Strategy of development of tourism in the region, which is necessary for writing the Program of development of tourism in the city of Chernihiv. People's Deputy of Ukraine Anna Romanova said that this large-scale social survey carried out free of charge, it is possible to identify existing problems in the sphere of tourism. Currently need to work to increase the number of tourists, but it needs more to advertise our city. Anna Romanova also added that she studied the successful experience in terms of tourism cities. In her opinion, the quality is of a city with a population of around 300 thousand inhabitants it is necessary to spend not less than one million hryvnias. These funds should be spent efficiently, and the main objects to distribute promotional items on can become Chernigov, Kiev and Gomel. Because of these cities most tourists come to Chernigov. The Deputy chief of staff of Senator Floyd Prozanski – Kevin Moore once talked about already established in the city of Portland's development strategy. In his view, the main emphasis should be laid on the business card of the city of Chernihiv. During this event in the framework of the studies quiz was held among the interviewed tourists. By random selection among the questionnaires determined the winner of the survey became 27-year-old tourist from Gomel of Republic of Belarus, which is waiting for a certificate for a romantic weekend in the city of Chernihiv for two people.
