In Prosecutor's office of Rivne region held a training seminar on the theme: "features of participation of Prosecutor in court in criminal proceedings against minors". The event was attended by officials from the office of the Prosecutor of the region, heads of local Prosecutor's offices, their first deputies and deputies, as well as in videoconference - chiefs and prosecutors of departments of local Prosecutor's offices responsible for the specified direction. Opening the seminar, Deputy Prosecutor of the region Taras Ilyashuk stressed that the reform of criminal procedure is primarily aimed at humanizing and improving safeguards for the protection of the rights of minors. Therefore, from the law enforcement agencies, including prosecutors, should be given special attention to the juvenile justice system through the vulnerability of juvenile participants in criminal proceedings. He expressed the belief that a seminar on this topic is the need to assist juvenile prosecutors while applying them to the specific requirements of criminal procedure legislation, aimed primarily to protect the rights and legitimate interests of children.
