The region continues sowing of winter crops
As at 7 November for harvest in 2017 sown winter crops on the area of 187,1 thousand hectares. This represents 91% of the forecast. This was announced by Director of Department of agroindustrial development of regional state administration Vitaly Lui during a conference call. "Due to heavy rainfall and waterlogging of the upper soil layers during the October harvest and planting held back, and then stopped", - stated Vitaly Lui. According to him sown 63,9 thousand hectares of winter rape. It is 7.8 thousand hectares more than last year. Also plowed in the winter plowing 185,4 thousand hectares (57.0% of the forecast). Of them deep under sugar beets - 15.4 thousand hectares (81.1% of the forecast).
