The Prosecutor's office of Volyn discussed the problems associated with the growth in the number of crimes against property
the Prosecutor's office of Volyn under the chairmanship of the Prosecutor of the region Maxim Kirichuk with the participation of the leaders of the Main Directorate of the National police in the area of management of the Public penitentiary service of Ukraine in region and management of the police patrol PPP National police of Ukraine held a meeting which discussed the issues of prevention of crimes against property, as well as the performance of tasks of criminal proceedings and investigative activities for the prevention, detection and investigation of criminal offences in this category. Opening the meeting, the Prosecutor of the region noted that in the Volyn region has seen significant growth in crimes against property, which during the year posted 6 820. The growth dynamics of these crimes is 46.4%, despite the fact that the state of 30.3%. The lion's share – 82.5 per cent of crimes against property are theft. Them in the field this year committed 5630. 10, 6 percent of crimes against property constitute fraud (724), 3.6 per cent - robbery (246) and less than 1% - robbery (40). Police also revealed only one in p’fifth crime against property and one in four regarding illegal acquisition of vehicles. Such a negative state is due to the fact that the police was inadequate analysis of committing theft, not defined by their geographical location, the location potentially attractive to criminals and the objects’of objects, as well as factors that facilitate the Commission of crimes of this category. There are claims to work of the operational divisions. Groups of criminals in fact are not. Police also lack of rose’annually work with the population, meanwhile the locals are more likely to suffer from the crooks who hold their money under the guise of the sale of certain goods via the Internet or by reporting false information about the origin and resolution of problematic situations with family, defraud codes for payment cards. Every third crime against property in the Volyn region this year is committed by previously convicted persons. While individual-preventive work with exempt from punishment of persons, the police are not properly held. Therefore, all enforcement agencies should change the approach and vision with growth in the field of crimes against property, that joint efforts to reduce their number, as well as to investigate already committed offences for involvement of perpetrators to responsibility and compensation of damage caused by these crimes to injured citizens. The meeting participants identified a list of activities aimed at achieving these objectives.
