In Zhytomyr discussed the status of legislative work and the results of the week of right
December 12, in the Zhytomyr regional state administration held a meeting of the Zhytomyr regional interagency coordination and methodological Council (MKMS) on legal education of the population, which was conducted by the chief of the Main territorial administration of justice in the Zhytomyr region, Alexander Grabar. Up for discussion were the issues of state law the work done by the Chief Directorate of the National police in the Zhytomyr region and the Department of education and science of regional state administration on the outcome of the Ukrainian law week in December 2016 and the plan of work of the Zhytomyr oblast MKMS on legal education of the population by 2017. Head of the Department of juvenile prevention control preventive activities of the Main Department of the National police in the Zhytomyr region Natalia Goncharuk informed about the main directions of legislative work, in particular conducting jointly with the employees of services for children, educational institutions, social service centres for families, children and youth, public organizations preventive measures to prevent children committing criminal and administrative violations. She also noted that during the first 11 months of the year 2016 in the region, there was a decline in juvenile crime by 9 %. On the job done in the direction of increase of level of legal culture of participants of educational process was reported by the Deputy head of the Department of education and science of the regional state administration Olga Lipovetsky. She said that every year the management together with the Main territorial Department of justice in Zhytomyr region approved the joint work plans to improve the level of legal education and prevention of delinquency and crime among youth. To the educational programs, staff development Zhytomyr regional Institute of postgraduate pedagogical education includes special courses and classes on the features of organization of legislative and legal educational work in educational institutions. The meeting also summarized the holding in the field of Ukrainian law week (05 to 9 December), which was carried out the series of concerts in labor and teacher groups, a number of law and pervoverhovnyh activities for children, pupils and students (homework law essay competition-essays, scientific-practical conference), also in the framework of the regional stage of all-Ukrainian campaign "16 days against violence", conducted explanatory work in establishments of execution of punishments on the issues of implementation and protection of human rights and so on. After hearing all the speakers, members of the Zhytomyr oblast MKMS on legal education of the population has made some additions and adjustments to the draft decisions by the meeting and agreed on them.
