Traditionally, on the eve of new year and Christmas holidays, the leaders of the region meet with students from among children-orphans and deprived of parental care, to give scholarships regional state administration and regional Council. So this year in the premises of Vinnytsia regional academic music and drama theatre. M. Sadovsky held the meeting with students of higher education institutions region i-IV levels of accreditation from among children-orphans and children deprived of parental care who receive a scholarship from the regional state administration and regional Council. The initiator and organizer of the event is Vinnytsia regional center of social services for family, children and youth. Welcoming the participants, Valery Cow wished the students and youth in the region of goodness, love and inspiration, to create and to realize all the goals. "The challenging year we experienced. Very much of what is happening in the state, will forever be engraved in your memory. Because it is a historical period of development of Ukraine. Hard, difficult, but historical. For the first time in many years of conversations conducted fiscal decentralization, which has allowed us to increase the scholarship Fund that will be used to support students in such categories as you. You must realize that you are living in a time of social and political upheavals at a time when the world is changing and the country as a whole. Therefore, each of you is the future of our state, it's a big responsibility. So change your world for the better, strive, and reach different heights in its development", - said the head region. During the meeting Valery Cow presented scholarships and gifts to the top 20 scholars who have achieved considerable successes in study, sports, creativity and social activities. On completion of solemn part of the event all the students received candy and had the opportunity to watch a Comedy-a parable "Helmsec wise men" on the play by M. Gershenzon. For reference With the aim of ensuring social protection of orphans and children deprived of parental guardianship, and also persons from their number, the regional state administration and regional Council in 1998 for the first time in Ukraine made a decision on the payment of scholarships. For 18 years, almost 6.5 thousand scholarship holders received about 7.5 million hryvnias from the regional budget. Payment of scholarships is an additional financial aid to all students of this category and encourage students for good training and responsible behavior. In 1998, the first payment received 44 young persons from among students of higher educational institutions of I–IV accreditation levels the city of Vinnytsya budget form of training. The scholarship was 40 UAH. Since 2007, such financial assistance students receive specified categories of higher educational institutions of I–IV accreditation levels across the region, who are studying by the state order and contract. The monthly stipend rates in 1998-2004 was 40 UAH, 2005-2015 – 100 UAH. In 2016 by the decision of Vinnytsia regional Council the size of scholarships has been doubled and is 200,00 UAH. The amount of funds for the payment of scholarships allocated from the regional budget amounted to 1 million 301,3 thousand UAH.
