Dear Ukrainians! Dear Ternopil community, members! will speak about the new challenges facing our society in the next year. Will start with a brief of the outcome of 2016. The city continues a large-scale repair work, actively implemented the program of energy efficiency and thermo. Developing the transport, recreation room, and administrative infrastructure. Everything that the government has become more transparent and open. The community gets real tools to control and influence the decisions that relate to local government. We celebrated as one of the best places in Ukraine for entrepreneurship development. Ternopil has become a reliable partner for many international financial institutions, our city became a cultural and educational center. Ternopil is getting better, more comfortable, and them have all the more reason to be proud of their city. Such progress that has occurred in recent years is a merit of team work. It is a merit of many people whose work, at first glance, is not visible, but extremely important and responsible. Positive change should be continued in the next 2017: * We need to make our city cleaner, more comfortable, because I want the residents of Ternopil. * We must ensure the implementation of programs to improve energy efficiency of housing, because it is our investment in the future, and the only way to guarantee warmth in their homes. * We must become closer to the needs of society, because our main task is serving people who have elected us. * We must become an even greater partner to the business, because it is the basis for filling the budget. * We need to develop culture, sport, medicine, because it is the basis for the physical and spiritual health’I Ukrainian nation. * We need to develop direct democracy, when each community will have even more opportunities to take an active part in the life of the Ternopil community. Next year we will have to work in difficult conditions. Significantly increase the load on local budgets. We will have to fully Fund schools and medical institutions, the tax base for filling the budget has not undergone significant changes. Much harder to look for funds for development projects in the city. The new year will bring us new challenges that require swift and decisive action. The city Council should remain the center of teamwork and decision-making center. Citizens, like all Ukrainians, are tired of political squabbles. They need a unified position and joint work. I urge everyone to become aware again of the responsibility lays on you current situation. The amp’remember that the decision made in these walls, has direct implications for the entire city. A private petty ambitions needs to step aside from the road a common cause for the improvement of Ternopil in the public interest.
