However, the Prosecutor's office found that police authorities do not always promptly decide the statements and reports about violations in the sphere of subsoil use, as well as organize site visits. The lack of immediacy in their actions, in turn, is not conducive to proper commit criminal offences and establishment of the persons involved in their Commission. And only after intervention of Prosecutor's office of area began criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 240 of the criminal code of Ukraine on the fact of illegal mining of national importance. In this regard, the Prosecutor's office of Rivne region sent a letter to the leadership of GUNP in Rivne oblast with a demand to immediately conduct an internal investigation to establish the causes and conditions that contributed to such violation, to take measures to prevent such mistakes in future work and to resolve the issue of involvement of perpetrators to a disciplinary responsibility. The issue of illegal mining, particularly of raw amber, countering criminal manifestations in this area remain relevant and a priority in the activities of bodies of Prosecutor's office of Rivne region.
